CJ's Seattle Stopover

CJ lived with us while she was adjusting to life in Seattle. As "payment" she became our middle daughter, Taylor's homework coach. She did this in between looking for a job and a permanent place to stay. She was my sister's best friend, so when Jenn asked us if CJ could live in our basement apartment, I of course said yes. CJ was such a bright light and sunny personality. I remember walking in on one of her tutoring sessions with Taylor one day, only to find the two of them engaged in Salsa lessons--a far cry from the boring geometry she was supposed to be helping with... That was CJ, though. Always willing to try something new and lend a helping hand. I didn't know her well, but I know that my sister considered her among her best friends. I will never forget the call I took from Jenn last Monday, telling me of CJs tragic death...I don't think I've ever heard that kind of sorrow come from someone-- I am sorry Jenn for your loss. I pray for you all this weekend, as you celebrate CJ and bury her body--but never her memory.
